What's up with this? SYDEC developed the technology that's used in Soundscapes DAW's. Hmm.

Cardiff, United Kingdom. - Soundscape Digital Technology Limited was
in 1993 as a partnership with Belgian development company Sydec.N.V. to
design and market world class recording products on the Windows
Since then S.D.T. has successfully established a global sales and
network shipping to over 50 countries and currently has facilities in
France, Australia, Asia Pacific and the U.S.A.

This growth has been attained without the benefit of major investment,
profits having been re-invested in sustained international advertising,
exhibitions and promotions. As a result of this concerted effort over
years, S.D.T. has built many quality partnerships to penetrate a broad
of existing and new markets by identifying in detail the key design
    required in each unique application.

This has lead directly to S.D.T.’s installations into major broadcast,
DV, streaming media, music and post-production facilities worldwide.
created and sustained a large user base, S.D.T. has been able to
many leading brand third party companies to developplug-insand
    applications for Soundscape products.

Constant interaction and communication with professionals in these
markets has provided the critical design input needed to create the
Soundscape product range. Additionally S.D.T. has further consolidated
reputation for quality by providing consistent and wide-ranging
support and after sales care across the globe.

Mackie Designs Inc. recent sudden announcement regarding it’s intention
purchase Sydec.N.V., presents both Mackie and Soundscape Digital
Ltd. with an unusual and unique opportunity to explore a new joint
incorporating the strengths of both businesses. If a new partnership
agreement can be reached this could quickly allow Mackie Designs Inc.
expand seamlessly into several new markets and provide S.D.T with the
resources to fulfill its brand potential.

News of this development has attracted several other interested
that could further broaden the discussion.
