It depend on the source, the room, the preamp and quality expectation.. To me, both are crap..
I suggest, you rent, borrow or go in a store, anything to try them before you buy...

Is it a cash or regional limitation ? You'd certainly be able to make other choices shipped to you, or even travel to places with better choices.. ??

Budget Reason, And the Studio Room issue.
    It's not treated in anyway.

In that case, you should buy a dynamic mic, like the SM58 or SM57 - They will help because they have better rejection and will grab less of the room and reflections..
    Just saying ;)

My friend bought the cheapest sennheiser dynamic microphone.

I put it on my Focusrite 2i2
Even after I turned the gain to max it was still soft.

It has a bad pre amp. :(

Nothing wrong with a 2i2 - they're very popular and rarely do people complain about gain? If it was faulty - that's different.

An sm48 is a good budget mic, similar to the 58 sonically, and right at your price point.
