I need a batch program that can batch from an EDL list or OMFI.

Q1.I have an EDL/OMFI and Tascam DA-88. I need to batch the sound from the DA-88 into my computer using the Omfi file or the edl list, and save it as an OMFI file.

Q2.I have heard that you can get a converter that converts the serial port to a 9 pin remote. It is called Rosetta Stone. Do you know of any others?

Q3. Is it possible to batch from the DA-88 using MTC and MMC?

Please guys help me out here!!!! :w:

I use the Rosetta to convert RS-232 to RS-422, but both of these use a 9 pin, unless your interface is multi-pin like a multi-port box. If so, there is an adapter to 9 pin then the Rosetta. There is some tiny circuit inside the Rosetta. Workin on the rest...

I don't have any program with a batch function.

Here is my problem.

I am running Logic Platinum ver 5.1 on a win XP machine. Logic can import omfi, but not batch. I am doing a post production on a tv series and most of it is beeing done in our protools suite, where I use Postconform to batch the project in. Postconfrom can only save the project as a protools session, so I can't use that in logic.

Since we don't have the protools suite available all the time I need to do some of the work at home. At home ,as you probably have figured out, I only have Logic.

Now I could just batch it all in the protools suite and then in protools export the project as a omfi, but I would really like to be able to to it all at my place.

So this is what I need.

1. A program that can batch from an EDL list and save it as an omfi file.

2. figure out how I can remote the DA-88 from this program, using 9 pin serial remote or perhaps MMC and MTC.
