Once i import the midi files into to it, it shows it there and shows activity but i cant hear it....and i dont know how to add an instrumentto the file. please help |

First of all you should read the manual. It's there. Check the install disk for a pdf manual if they didn't include a hard copy.
You need to load a VST instrument for that track and make sure that the track output through that VSTi. |
