Hi everyone,
My Yamaha 02R Digital Console (the original model), became crazy.
A few days ago, I was working, then, suddenly the sound stopped, and the console VUs showed a moving light, (a sort of auto calibration). I din’t find any way to fix it, then I turned the console off. Next day, when I turned it on, everything was fine.( I checked the battery out, ans it’s OK).
Yesterday, the problem came again after around 2 hours working. I tried to initialize the 02R following the Instructions on the Manual, but it was impossible, and the console died (no sound, no lights at all).
Today, the console didn’t work any more. It shows the moving lights, and when I try to initialize it, it dies.
I uploaded a video to YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e93OgQK62_8
I’ll really appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance |

There are literally thousands of individual components that go to make up the O2R. If it is effecting the whole board it may be something in the power supply. It is NOT something that you are going to be able to fix easily or quickly. Probably best to call Yamaha tech support number and talk to a technical support person. You probably have two options. You can send it back to Yamaha or find someone locally who is familiar with the board and has the necessary schematics and equipment to fix it.
Best of luck! |

Mark Steele sent me this
I have an o2r and in the past the power supple contacts needed to be cleaned. it you're just getting power to parts of the board or the contacts are acting like a resistor, the board can get stupid.
This is NOT something that you should attempt unless you are use to working with electronic equipment.
Best of luck![/b] |
