hi,

Could an API 500-6B owner help me ? I need you to unscrew the power supply module (the one with power button) and send me some high resolution pictures of the components... It would be very nice.

Thanks in advance.

Please send them to niggaphil.contact@free.fr

Fun and Sunday should explain themselves.
Arvo is afternoon.

You're asking for not 30 seconds of help but like a good hour of so...

Speaking of the French. I'm getting a shirt made with a silhouette of a guy running and the words "Parkour: The French Sport of Running Away."

Anyways, if anyone can help this guy out with more than just sarcasm. Chime in.

Good Luck.

Greener:
I have posted on this site for a couple of years now. I am too busy with a day gig, too much live sound work at night and on the weekends to post much anymore. Sometimes I've been an ass, sometimes not. I've bitten off more than I could chew at times, have been mis-interpreted other times, and have butted heads with inebriated moderators who still live at home with their mommies. At the end of the day, I have to look back and say to myself, "is that the truth?".
Here's the truth:
In all of that time I've been posting here, you have got to be one of the most obnoxious, irrelevant drolls I've come across. I have yet to read ANYTHING that you have posted that contributed to the subject, in either a positive or negative manner. Do us all a favor and slither off to your local tavern and belly up for yet another pint...

Phil:
Your name here is not only "politically incorrect", but offensive in the most vulgar way. Maybe in your home country of France this is acceptable, but this site is read by people around the world, mostly in the US and UK. Don't expect much respect or help from them here with a name or attitude like that. And get your head out of your ass and Google
AudioToys, Inc. They manufacture and service API products these days, perhaps they can assist you in getting the info you requested. Have a nice day.

moonbaby:
For you information, I'm a black man, and it is just in this way I choose my nickname... Philippe is a nigger: yes, that's me. No problem.
I don't consider the word "Nigga" like an injury... I did not have any idea what it could be felt like, in US or UK.
You are the first one to say that it is vulgar. My nickname absoltuly doesn't match any bad attitude... I think I'm pretty courteous when I ask for help, am I not ?

I often post on US forums, nobody told me that things...

Moonbaby, I've read many interesting posts of yours. I have a lot of respect for the help you give people. Usually.
You suck at giving shit to people. At least try to be funny.
Failing that be rude or something... What am I meant to say to someone who most politely tells me to fuck off and die?

No, thanks.
But thanks just the same.

Philippe,

We here in the states are suffering from some major guilt complexes as perpetrated on blacks by whites many, many years ago.

So, for many Americans, race is a very hot button to push. Mainly because prejudices still run deep in both directions. Though the numbers are dwindling.

Still, in some places someone else even using your full handle would be potentially called a racist.

It sounds like you have been fortunate enough not to have run into this issue before now.

OOOPS... almost forgot to answer your post...

I would contact API through email and ask them if they would supply you with what you need. They're a pretty good bunch of folks. They stand behind their product as best they can... that's why they're still around!

I'm really sorry... I'm surprised it is such a strong word... But I fully understand.

Just to clarify. My wife is white (a little part of asian) and I'm black. Some of my best friends are arabic, asian, eastern european...
No racism on my side...

MadMax,

asking to API is the first thing I did. But, I assume they have a lot of work, I'm still waiting for an answer...

I thought it would be faster to ask to API owners..

If I had one I'd send you the photos.

I just know what it's like to get folks around here to help out. Sometimes the help flows and you don't know which way to look for on-topic helpful information.

Sometimes people just tell you the "truth".

Btw, I like your name, it's humorous.

Phil, we know you don't mean to cause offense. Unfortunately, political correctness is easily hurt and even "blackboards" (chalkboards now) offend people**.
So while you might not mean it, someone else could complain.

**I would, however, like to ask to see whoever was offended by a bit of black scrolling wall mounted fabric.

Greener, I think your problem is you feel the need to post. While it's good for someone to come in and clear up things in a longer thread, posting for the sake of posting...
Now, what was that about the pot calling the kettle black?
(pun not intended).

Monkey,
Mind if I call you Monkey?
Anyways,
I'm feeling the need to post again, maybe I shouldn't.
Maybe I could type "bump" or maybe I could type something funny, maybe I could type something obnoxious, irrelevant and droll.
Maybe there is hidden meaning, Monkey.

Regards,

Honkey

Phillipe,

with sincerest apologies...

Now that Moonbaby has opened the door,

Quote:

I would like to ask Greener a question:

Just what are your credentials/experience/education?

Your profile shows not your location, nor occupation. Your signature does not include the web address of a commercial studio you own, or work at.
You have been throwing out obnoxious, sarcastic comments ever since you showed up here, with seeming no regard toward the feelings of other posters. If you indeed have the background/qualfications to treat inexperienced novices poorly, then let us all know what they are.

Again, Phillipe, I apologize for hijacking this thread.
