Hi everyone!
I'm on the lookout for info about the recording/mixing of audio for 5.1 surround (DVD-A and SACD) - stuff like which studios/engineers/producers are most active working in the format etc.
As a professional engineer myself, I'm really hoping to somehow get involved in 5.1 music production, and would REALLY appreciate any advice on how/where I might be able to break into the field! Please, if anyone thinks they might be able to help, you can email me directly at schahley@hotmail.com
ANY info gratefully and humbly accepted!!!
big thanks, all!!!
Steve Chahley. |

Hi Hi!
Well, good luck! We are on the same boat, I am remixing my stuff in Nuendo all the time in 5.1 now. And mostly because I love 5.1 but there is an excuse, too : I am supposed to deliver a demo -package of score stuff and just decided to make it 5.1 audio because film boys have DVD:s.
I am a composer/songwriter who got enough of touring some time ago,now I only write.
I don´t even know how to make the actual burning but soon I will. And my own release will quite probably be 5.1 , I do believe in 5.1!
There is work in the movies department,do some research around. In case you happen to know how to proceed from AC3 files towards burning DVD-playable disks, please let me know. |
