Hello, happy holidays. I have a question about how should I set up a cue box for my home studio. We have a room setup as a booth and we need to get a cue system hooked up asap. What is the best way to go about it, I have a mackie 12 ch mixer going DI 1-2 to my Mbox, so I can use the pre's on the Mackie. I need to get a cue mix to the artist 50 feet away. i was thinking, buy a cue box, Mackie big knob that has talkback capability, do I need both, none? I'm confused, i'm open to suggestions. Thank you!! |

Just use the headphone out on the mbox to drive the headphone amp. You can use a headphone split if that's what you're using to monitor what's going on. I've used a 50 ' mic cable with 1/4 TRS to xlr male and female adapters on each end to feed the headphone box. Works great. You can drive 4 sets of phones if needed.
If you need talkback you can use one of the mbox inputs. |
