ok, i'm trying to make a decision between two sets of drum mics.
Beyerdynamic Sweetwater Opus Drum Pack for $1300
-vs-
Audix DP Elite 8 Drum Microphone Pack for $1200
I'm buying them for both studio recording and live recording. can anybody give me some feedback? |

I thought the Elite 8 was around 1900.....I have the D series Audix and they are great. I dont know this line of Beyers, but I would trust that they sound very good. However, if you can get the Audix for that price you should do that. I have had mine for 7 years and have never had a failure. This includes live and studio use. Live, they get used every weekend.
Plus they sound very very good. The SCX mic is a great acoustic instrument mic. |
