This song is one of six we recorded over our Columbus Day break in my suite's common room at uni. Obviously, the room is quite less than perfect, but I think they turned out quite good. I'm just looking for some opinions on the basics here, they are not mixed quite to what I feel is good, but it's passable. I am missing most of my equipment currently, it's all packed up at home. The bongos were done with a 57, I think a better room would help them out a lot more. Vocals were done with a trusty 58. His guitar is one of the few I found to sound good on an AT3035. It's a Sigma, which I guess is like a Martin, and the flute was recorded with an AT 2020.

I guess I'm just wondering what everyone generally thinks, I have some ideas for the mix when I go home, but anything at all would be appreciated. Thanks.

The song is called Elven Shirts, because he didn't have a name for it, and he was wearing a tunic. Smile It's weird.
If anyone likes it and wants to hear more PM me.

This is cool.
Raw music, and it sounds slightly nice. Clean and clear.

The emotion is definitely there, rocking out is so much fun Razz

The bongos should be a five piece, let loose like vinne from Pantera, with that flute and rhythm git you couldn't lose.

The flute is ripping Razz

The vocals have passion but slightly to much whinge.

Keep on rockin' though, sounds like a hell of a lot of fun.

Thanks Greener.
I think it is a solid demo quality sound. It\'s better than most of the kids here who barely make do with the digi 002s and rodes their parents bought them. I love going to a school with kids from Long Island. hahaha

AT3035 I am personally loving this MIC right now. Best $99 I ever spent. In fact I bought 2. I think you could add some low end to the guitar to give it a little more richness since there is no bass guitar. The flute does sound nice. I would make the vocals a tad louder as well if it were me. Sounds like you guys had fun.
