little labs "redeye" di/reamp box

Hi All,

was wondering if anyone has used the little labs redeye di/reamp box?
Currently using the pod xt pro as a di (so I can monitor a proper sound during recording) but need a good reamp box so I can go out of my daw to a real amp, etc. Any other suggestions welcome!

If you record using the pod xt as your di, then you are recording through whatever converters you currently have. Or are you recording to tape?
Why bother stepping up converters on the way out to re-amp? Only a slight gain in signal quality because of the difference in converters you would be using on the way out.
Why not get some good converters or just one? Use it to record and play through.
Am I not in the correct bubble?
Please discuss more what you actually do and want to do.

I just looked up what a "pod xt pro" is.

An all in one di/pre/converter with usb.

I use an Edirol UA-25 to re-amp my stuff. But I had my current tracks recorded through Behringer DI boxes into the pre's on an old Midas desk, through Apogee AD's then I just play them back out through my UA-25 and into an amp whilst recording in through the front with an SM57. You can do this using the Sonar LE which came with the Edirol. I don't think it sounds too bad but I had a mission finding amps and a room and time to do it in amongst people living, trams and aircraft.

[cries] Really, how did that junk get into the chain! Honestly! Apogee rubbish alongside Behringer, just doesn't give it the conversion quality it needs!

The Behringer DI boxes are alright, even a few people around here before have mentioned that they made a few at some stage which worked well. These ones seemed fine. Plus, I'm a drummer and I was going straight into the API 6pack and everyone else could sit and spin. Razz

The bass wasn't plugged into a Behringer, it was into something smaller and yellower. Helpful huh Razz
