I got this e-mail/ad and I do need to get a good quality pre-amp. any thoughts
The newly upgraded version of the wildly popular 7602 "Neve 1073" based preamp / EQ. The 7602 MKII boasts new features such as impedence switching (300 / 1200ohm), LED input metering (yay! we love meters), a fresh new look and a new Carnhill transformer option that can be special ordered and factory installed! The Carnhills are the same ones used by other 1073 clones and we've had a pair of original 7602 units here for a long time with some we installed ourselves: the result is a smoother, larger sound (subtle, but adds up during tracking). The MKII units also have a line transformer power supply included in the price, making the CPS-1 power supply optional but not required.

Their really early stuff could be shaky on the build quality but the last few releases have shored this up. A very solid performer and worth the price of admission. |
