Hello Everyone....

Here's a work-tape of "When she leaves this time"

It's a collaboration with Butch Price.........

Steve Altonian

http://www.soundclick.com/stevealtonian

“When she leaves this time”

One last final walk through the house
Her purse and suitcase lay on the couch
She takes a deep breath and turns off her cell phone
Thoughts of failure flow through her head
This is the day she knew she’d always dread
Stepping out into the great unknown

As she pulls her car into the street
She slips the ring off her finger and starts to pick up speed

(CHORUS):
“When she leaves this time”
She won't be looking back no more
A young dove in flight
Spreading out her wings to soar
And she won't be there when he gets home tonight
And she won’t change her mind like she’s done a hundred other times
“When she leaves this time”
“When she leaves this time”

Cruising down the coast on Highway 101
She drops the top down and soaks up the sun
Feeling stronger every mile she goes
The ocean breeze blows away her fears
Before she knows it, it’s dried every tear
Therein lies the magic of the open road

As the sun’s setting into the sea
She begins to remember what it’s like to be free

(CHORUS):
“When she leaves this time”
She won't be looking back no more
A young dove in flight
Spreading out her wings to soar
And she won't be there when he gets home tonight
And she won’t change her mind like she’s done a hundred other times
“When she leaves this time”

(MUSICAL BRIDGE)

(FINAL CHORUS):
“When she leaves this time”
He’ll find a purple note on the door
Baby we tried
I slid the key under the door
You see I won’t be there when you get home tonight
And I won’t change my mind like I’ve done a hundred other times
“When I leave this time”
“When I leave this time”

What's the deal with the intro. I'm freaking out now, that was loud and it sounded like you were murdering cats with blunt knives.

Then it kicks into a chill groove with slick as sound that flows nicely into my room, and I don't get into your genre at all. So that's a compliment of sorts, I think.

Also, why is it the like 2 or 3 posts you have made that aren't in threads promoting your music directly, indirectly promote your music?

Just to be tidy and all...
Sorry if I was rude previously.

Has this work tape been worked on?

Add a little more low end. Sounds pretty good!

Your stuff is always good by me Steve. This is a work tape afterall, so, I was begging for it to hook really hard and it kept trying but it never got that million dollar finish like I know you want it to have. Its a good song though and you're putting passion in the voice now. Its all good though I figured the backing instruments were mostly canned....drums etc..............

It doesnt do all that much to go into lyrical hook context here so I'll leave it at that.

I'm sure this one will kick hard live.....I just wanted that big hook....................

If that is banjo in the background, I am sold to this song, and truly am very excited to hear the final tune.

If not, what is it? (I'm listening through laptop speakers)
