An interesting listen. I like the sounds and the feel.
The guitars are kinda limp, I don't get the sound I would imagine is coming out of the amp. Like, not translated in such a way that I can visualise the guitar player with an amp or something making noise. It sounds fake.
The hats drag time.
How was this song made? |

The amps are indeed fake so that's a natural concern. The guitars are plugged directly to the mixer and I'm using Guitar Rig 3 as a virtual amp. The drums are ezDrummer. Hell, even the bass is just my guitar EQ'd down
Can you elaborate on what the hats dragging time means? The drums definitely do have a couple issues.
Thanks sir |

I've been thinking about it, I dunno if they are out of time, and considering it's a metronome a doubt it, but those triple hi-hat hits sound weird and kind of drag the tempo, kind of like lag for my brain. Can you bunch em up, so the first one is on time but they go a little bit fast and finish slightly early?
I wish I learned music at some stage before I started offering advice.
I like the track, how it kinda wanders around then the drums kick in and off it goes. nice journey.
Buy an amp and a microphone please. |

Not the drums. Its the guitar playing. Its all out of time. A song like that needs NOT to be rushed. Have to force yourself to DRAG and stay in the pocket.
Because digital drums are locked in perfect time you have to play extremely tight because there is nothing to forgive or float around with. So if you as a guitar player, play out of time naturally then you have to work at it more to get things tighter
Amps...EHH I use digital PODs or Pre Amps all the time. Not a huge biggie if not using an AMP and MIC set up. Actually a good job on the FAKE bass =)
The song is not very exciting to my ears but I am just one person. |
