Electroacoustic / Experimental Song for Critique...
http://www.myspace.com/amberroad
Hello Everyone, I (Josh) have been reading the recording.org forum for quite some time now (few years) and thought i was long overdue for a contribution to your community. I realize many here have unique, creative, and inspiring feedback for anything and everyhting music/recording related so HERE IT GOES...
Chris and I (other band member) of Amber Road would like your feedback on our Pre-Final Mix. Tracking is finally complete, now its time to get a serious mix out for the public. This mix has yet to be mastered, however, there are a few mastering plug-ins being used.
We have a few questions we would like you all to entertain if possible, otherwise you can just tell us what you think:
1) How are the overall instrument levels?
2) How are the Fades sounding (too abrupt, too slow)?
3) Is there anything that stands out in a good or bad way?
4) Is there any improvement we can make with EQ, Reverb, Effects, Compression?
5) Any suggestions for the mastering process?
6) Overall Impression of the song and mix?
All your feedback will be greatly appreciated,
Thanks!
Amber Road

I listened to it, it has an interesting sound, very calming chill out come down music. After 3:30 I dunno wtf is going on. Panic attack?
One thing I would say about it, apart from what myspace does to the sound, the bass sounds like it's coming from a car out front of my house, rather than from the sub at my feet.
Overall, different and cool. Rock on. |
