I tried several times but the link didn't want to work.
I will try again later. I really hope they sound like the Sex Pistols or something. |

My FTP seems to be down at the moment :-\
Another thing to fix. I'll post again when it's up. |

Hey Zeus those guitars are huge! Such full bass.
The voice is way to low and hidden back behind things. And the backup vocals were totally hidden.
Dude, those drums are killer, punch in spades.
Gimme some idea of the setup? |

Hey man thanks!
Snare and kick are sample replacement... cheating, I know.. but it's just the easiest and fastest way to great drum sounds... plus the player was not as consistent as I wanted him to be.
Drum overheads were rode NT5's in XY format going into allen and heath 16:2 preamps and then an echo audiofire 12. A little high end boost on the EQ and that was pretty much it.
Guitars were mesa single rectifier and 5150 blend with guitarhack's impulses. No EQ, just high and low passes.
Bass was DI. EQ and Compression. Next time I'll probably record a DI and the amp and put a little distortion on one of them.
As for vocals, I ended up having to use one of the nt5s, because our main vocal mic took a dirt nap - I was actually pleasantly surprised. They are doubled and there is a touch of delay on the doubled vocal. The backup vocals sound pretty good to me though, I will have to check them on another system. Thanks for the heads up! |
