I am using Ableton Live and I realize many may turn their nose up at this since this DAW is mostly focused on people who cut dance music and DJs and such. Well I'll tell you, if you haven't tried using it like a DAW (I mean like nuendo ect.) then I believe it's not being used to it's full potential.
But this is all my opinion, I just like the way it works and how the workflow is set up.
I used Nuendo before that (I tried it at on a friends system first) and though I am still learning Nuendo and would love to use it, I just like Live.
And it get's just as good results.
Well anyway, that's my 2 cents.

3.98 I thought. Get a 64 bit version, you can go higher. Unfortunately this tends to lead to driver issues.
However, I recall something about XP limiting the memory available for programs. You *can* access 3.98 GB of mem with it though. |

Anything free (Kristal mainly) with free VSTs on XP SP3 32bit.
Also tampering with Ubuntu, using Ardour/Rosegarden etc. |
