Best Sounding CD Ever?

These are two of my favorite cd's :

Steely dan - aja
Donald fagen - the nightfly

U2 albums The Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby and All That You Can't leave Behind.

They all have Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno in common.

Achtung Baby is the best album ever IMO!

Speaking of Daniel Lanois, how about the first Robbie Robertson disk? U2 guesting on a few tunes, tons of darkness and light, and not compressed to death. All in all a very good record all around.

noone has mentioned the 60ies jazz rudy van gelder stuff...
rudy van gelder is fairly genius to me..
oh, and jack joseph puig...gotta love jellyfish!

Joshua Redman's "Elastic"
