I dig the quality of the recordings first and foremost.
But (and call me shallow if you must) once the vocals kicked in for each song, I hit the "stop" button. It's a matter of preference, and I just prefer vocalists who have an original sound. I don't think I'm alone on this one, either. Both of these guys' styles are a dime a dozen and it can halt the momenteum of a recording, no matter how professional sounding it may be.
In terms of quality though, I like the delicious bass rumble and crunch/clarity of the guitars. Nice! |
