digital mixers?

Im looking for a digital mixer that has up to 4 coax,s/pdif stereo inputs,and a coax digital output---------------------I now roland has made a m-1000 that is out of production,the ones I do find,the retailer wants to really put the screws to me.
My question is-----------------------is there another mixer out there that does the same thing? Confused

multiple spdf inputs may introduce some clock distribution problems.

example
multiple simple CD players with an spdf output.
These cannot be brought into the mixer in sync as the CD players only have an spdf output.

if all units had a wordclock things would be easy ... or easier.

What are your spdf sources likely to be ?

FYI---I too looked at trying to find a simular product by anybody. But I had no luck. I had to find a different way to do what I was wanting to do. Crying or Very sad

They are going to be 4 vs880s slaved---------------I called Roland,and the M1000 (they stopped making)is the tool for the job.

Ive been looking for a digital mixer that can handle this, and the M1000 from Roland is the tool for the job,looks like Im gonna have to pay full pop if I want to get it done! Mad

is there any problem with entering the mixer via analog ?

I considered that, my main concern is that if I output from all my 880s "analog"into my mackies channels,they pass through the macks preamp section before main output,and my concern is that it will change my tone,maybe Im wrong Confused

but I guess its worth trying.
Id like to keep the chain in the digital world,but doing so sure digs into my pockets Crying or Very sad

At line level the damage is surely minimised and I think the expense/value of fining multiplt input spdf even if you can resolve clock issues ...
may not be worth it.

Technology is changing fast but analog transfers are still a typical method.

It's only a set of leads ... so try it.

I took the the time rewire my system to run outputs from my 880s to my mackie (via analog)and much to my suprise,theres wasnt that much of a diff, Laughing

Roland M-1000 looks interesting and it does have multiple spdf inputs.
