The Director and Producer have finally selected the composer for the film No Money Down, which I have been working on for the last several months. I have received four new edits of the film in the last three weeks, which has stretched things out and called for re-syncing and numerous changes and revisions in the sound design. I should finally start mixing right after the Memorial Day Weekend.
Since this project is almost completed (fingers crossed) I have been looking for my next project. I have two shorts pending on a deferred basis. Most importantly, I am in the running for a small/mid level budget indie. Filming begins in December, pre-production meetings begin in August. I have been asked how much I would charge and I haven't got a clue. There are still a number of unanswered questions, such as: am I doing the dialog editing and ADR? Am I editing the music? Am I doing the mix? However, I need some ballpark figures to throw at these people, so any input would be appreciated.
Once again, the advice and suggestions from all of you have been invaluable. I am grateful and hope that in some way my own contributions have in some small way begun to pay my debt. RO has been a great asset to me. Thank you all!!!
